The Organising Consultant for Africa coordinates regional affiliates, with a focus on French-speaking countries, under the direction of the General Secretary and the Regional Executive Council. He manages the operational day-to-day of the regional secretariat, oversees budgets, and facilitates the participation of sector leaders in international forums. His role is to strengthen regional integration through advocacy, training, and research, while amplifying Africa’s visibility on IAWP’s global platforms.

Ibrahima Amadou Sidibé is the IAWP Organising Consultant for Africa, dedicated to capacity building for waste picker organizations across the continent. Before assuming these strategic functions, he distinguished himself through profound field engagement with waste pickers in Mali, whom he helped to organize and continues to support daily for their full empowerment, as well as for all waste pickers. An expert in Francophone dynamics, he leverages his field experience to serve inclusive projects and sustainable partnerships. Ibrahima views his action as a vital lever for waste pickers in their ongoing struggle for recognition and social justice.
