This course was developed in collaboration with the International Alliance of Waste Pickers(opens in a new tab), the International Domestic Workers Federation(opens in a new tab) (IDWF), HomeNet International(opens in a new tab), StreetNet International(opens in a new tab), and Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing(opens in a new tab) (WIEGO) for member-based organizations (MBOs) of workers in informal employment. 

Throughout the lessons, participants will learn how to build communications strategies to effectively communicate with their members and key audiences. Through interactive exercises and real-world examples related to social protection, participants will strengthen their communications skills, which can be applied across the different occupational sectors represented by the global networks within the informal economy.
